Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WittCPA Inc. website (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

01About this website

This Site is operated by WittCPA Inc. ("WittCPA," "we," "us," or "our"), a chartered professional accounting firm based in West Kelowna, British Columbia. The Site provides general information about our firm and the services we offer.

02Not professional advice

The content on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute accounting, tax, financial, legal, or other professional advice. Information on the Site should not be relied upon or used as a substitute for advice tailored to your specific circumstances. Tax and accounting rules change and vary by situation; you should consult a qualified professional before acting on any information found here.

03No client relationship

Your use of the Site, submission of a contact form, or booking of a discovery call does not, on its own, create a professional, advisory, or client relationship between you and WittCPA. A professional relationship is established only when we have agreed to act for you and the terms of our engagement are set out in a separate, signed engagement letter. Until then, please do not send us confidential or sensitive information beyond what is reasonably necessary to begin a conversation.

04Booking & communications

The Site allows you to request a consultation and to contact us. Submitting a request does not guarantee that we will provide services to you. We reserve the right to decline any engagement. Communications sent through the Site or by email may not be secure; please do not transmit highly sensitive information through unsecured channels.

05Intellectual property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, the WittCPA name and brand, and the design and arrangement of the Site — is owned by or licensed to WittCPA and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and print Site content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or otherwise use any Site content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

06Third-party links & services

The Site integrates and links to third-party services, including the Calendly scheduling tool and the Karbon client portal, and may link to other third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of these third parties. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

07Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

08Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WittCPA and its principals, employees, and agents will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the Site or reliance on its content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

09Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

10Professional regulation

WittCPA Inc. provides services as a chartered professional accounting firm and is subject to the rules and standards of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC). The provision of professional services is governed by our engagement letters and applicable professional standards, not by these Terms.

11Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when they were most recently changed. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree that the courts of British Columbia will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site.
